Origin Sulphur-N

What Is Origin Sulphur-N?

Origin Sulphur-N – or OSN – is a range of high quality, granular NS compounds available across the UK from Origin Fertilisers.

Product Range

  • OSN 35 26 N + 35 SO3
  • OSN 17 30 N + 17 SO3

OSN provides nitrogen in both ammonium and nitrate forms and sulphur in its plant-available sulphate form for optimum nutrient uptake and crop response.

OSN products are high quality compounds which spread evenly to 30m+ to provide crops with the ideal N to S ratio when they need it.

Product Recommendations

OSN 35 and OSN 17 are ideally suited for spring application to provide plant-available sulphur to high performing cereal and oilseed rape crops. Having two different N:S ratios provides flexibility in balancing nitrogen and sulphur inputs to suit soil types and crops.

Crop / Product OSN 35 OSN 17
Winter Cereals Apply @ 200 kg/ha as the 1st spring dressing followed by straight N in subsequent applications up to the target N level. Apply for each spring N application up to the target N level. This product is suitable where a ‘little and often’ approach is preferred, e.g. on light, sandy soils where leaching of N and S might occur. OSN 17 provides the optimum N:S balance.
Oilseed Rape Apply @ 285 kg/ha as the 1st spring dressing followed by straight N in subsequent applications up to the target N level. Apply for each spring N application up to the target N level. This product is suitable where a ‘little and often’ approach is preferred, e.g. on light, sandy soils where leaching of N and S might occur. OSN 17 provides the optimum N:S balance.
Grass Suitable for growing high quality grazing and silage in sulphur responsive areas for increased DM production and higher yields. Apply to N requirements during season where no additional P & K is required.

Origin Sulphur-N – Spreader Settings

Even and accurate spreading is integral to the overall effectiveness and agronomic performance of a fertiliser, with significant yield losses likely before visual symptoms of uneven spreading are apparent.

OSN are high quality granular compounds which spread evenly and accurately with no nutrient segregation.

Spreading information is available for each product.
